Accenture, small firm forge SEWP partnership

Accenture Federal Services has become a subcontractor to a small business to sell its security solutions through the NASA SEWP contract.

AFS has formed a partnership with Federal Resources Corp. to sell the former's cybersecurity offerings such as Extended Detection & Response, iDefense Security Intelligence Services and Next Generation Cyber Security Services.

Through this partnership, users of NASA SEWP can buy Accenture offerings and get credit for using a HUBZone small business. The 3-percent HUBZone goal is often the hardest small business goal for agencies to achieve.

Both companies will work together to help agencies modernize processes and adopt new technologies.

“We saw a gap between the capabilities many departments and agencies have currently and what they need to modernize their cyber security and cloud posture,” FRC CEO Jeremy Young said in a statement. “Federal Resources Corporation’s capabilities, contracts, and investments in delivery and security innovations in partnership with Accenture Federal Services allow us to provide better, faster, and less costly solutions to our mission partners.”

The FRC-AFS arrangement will offer “leading cyber security solutions and practitioners with the blend of skills, clearances, industry experience, and mission focus allowing federal departments and agencies to achieve their information security objectives,” both companies said in a statement.

That includes attaining and maintaining compliance with FISMA and other security requirements.
