Lumen to bring more connectivity to Navy JAG operations

Lumen Technologies will build a software-defined network for the Navy in an effort to expand access to legal support for commanders, sailors and their families.

The $12 million task order under the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions vehicle will bring secure high-speed connectivity, WiFi, unified communications and managed network services to the Navy Judge Advocate General Corps.

Lumen will deliver its solutions via a software-defined wide area network and manage security services host at the company’s federal data centers. They will support 20 Navy JAG sites in the U.S.

The 12-year task order has a one-year base and 11 one-year options.

Lumen is one of nine companies on EIS competing for task orders to provide telecommunications services to defense and civilian agencies.
