Navy taps small business for network contract

Solute Inc., veteran-owned small business, has captured an $83.7 million Navy contract to support an automated digital network system.

Services include engineering and programmatic services for communication systems as well as support for current operations, planned upgrades and developments.

The San Diego-based company competed against five other companies to win the contract, which has a two-year base and four two-year option periods.

Most of the work will take place in California as well as locations in Hawaii, Charleston, South Carolina, Norfolk, Virginia, Bahrain and Italy.

The Air Force and Marine Corps also will have access to the vehicle.
