Vencore Labs nabs $8.2M software contract

Vencore Labs has won an $8.2 million contract to provide the Air Force with software and reports around threats and situational awareness.
Under the contract, the company will provide research, development, demonstration, and delivery of a machine-intelligence for advance notification of threats and energy-grid survivable situational awareness software system.
Work will be performed at Basking Ridge, N.J., and is expected to be completed in July 2020.
According to the Defense Department, 70 companies bid on this contract.
