Exelis wins $25M task order to support Naval Research Lab

Exelis Inc. has won a $25 million task order to provide technical support to assist in the design, development and management of electronic warfare, communication and sensing systems for the Naval Research Laboratory.

Under the task order, Exelis will work to offer specialized technical collection target planning and advanced collection plans to improve current technical assessments, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Washington, D.C., and is expected to be completed in June 2017.

The Naval Research Laboratory received two offers for the task order.
