The Naval Research Laboratory has added KEYW Corp. to the pool of eight companies that won a $245 million contract for engineering and technical support earlier this week.

The initial winners of the award were:

The nine companies will compete for task orders under the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide engineering and technical support to the Naval Research Laboratory Information Technology Division, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed at the laboratory in Washington, D.C. and at the contractor locations. KEYW is based in Hanover, Md. The project is expected to be completed in May 2021.

The Naval Research Laboratory received 12 bids for the contract.
