Social and Scientific Systems wins $9M contract to support Maryland health database

Social and Scientific Systems has won a $9 million contract to provide data management and analytic support to the Maryland Health Care Commission.

The five-year contract will support the Commission’s Medical Care Database, which the company said is an aggregation of eligibility, claims and provider data used to assess spending, reimbursement and utilization of health care services in Maryland.

This contract continues a 15-year relationship the company has had with the Maryland Health Care Commission and will allow it to maintain the database and enhance its analytic utility, the company said.
