Booz Allen promotes two to new leadership roles

Booz Allen Hamilton has tapped two from within the company ranks for new leadership roles.

Executive vice president Karen Dahut has been named Civil Commercial Group Lead and executive vice president Susan Penfield has been named Strategic Innovation Group Lead. Both appointments are effective April 1.

Dahut built and led the Strategic Innovation Group for the past three years and in her new role will oversee delivery of the firm’s strategic, technological and analytical capabilities to federal civilian agencies and commercial clients.

Penfield most recently has led the Innovation, Culture, Ventures and Solutions group within the Strategic Innovation Group and will now replace Dahut and oversee the entire organization.

These appointments come just over a month after the company announced that its long-time chief financial officer, Kevin Cook, was stepping down from his position, to be replaced by Lloyd Howell.
