Tenable Network Security taps head of new federal sales division

Tenable Network Security has named Darron Makrokanis head of a new federal sales division meant to meet the cybersecurity needs of federal customers.

Makrokanis was most recently senior business development executive and program manager at Splunk.

The new federal sales division will leverage Tenable’s sensors to deliver a holistic view of overall network health and help customers measure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks, the company said in a release.

“As the U.S. federal government heightens cybersecurity efforts under the Cybersecurity National Action Plan, our federal teams will be working alongside our customers to solve some of their biggest security challenges,” said Mike Kirby, senior vice president of worldwide sales, Tenable Network Security.
