GDIT, SAIC awarded options for IT, C4I support

General Dynamics Information Technology and Science Applications International Corp. have been awarded options to provide information technology and C4I support to the Navy.

General Dynamics Information Technology and Science Applications International Corp. have been awarded options to provide information technology and C4I support to the Navy.

GDIT’s option is worth $14.3 million; SAIC’s is worth $12.5 million.

Under the contract extensions, the companies will provide technology insertion; software and systems engineering; modeling and simulation; system level and systems integration testing; and integrated logistics in support of communications, IT, and other C4I efforts, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and Fairfax, Va., and is expected to be completed in February 2017.
