Cubic Corp. acquires two companies for $269M

Cubic Corp. has acquired both TeraLogics and GATR Technologies in a move that enhances Cubic’s strategy to expand its defense systems business by investing in a C4ISR portfolio.

Cubic acquired TeraLogics for $39 million. The company is a provider of full motion video PED for the Defense Department, intelligence community and commercial customers. The move helps Cubic on its way to be a player in the ISR full motion video market.

Cubic acquired GATR for $232.5 million. The company is a manufacturer of next-generation deployable satellite communication terminal solutions. The move expands Cubic’s technology leadership in satellite communications and networking applications.

“The transformation of Cubic Global Defense Systems is well under way with these acquisitions, coupled with the excellent performance from DTECH, which we acquired in fiscal year 2015,” said Bradley Feldman, Cubic Corp. president and CEO.

TeraLogics was represented by the investment bank KippsDeSanto & Co. Raymond James advised GATR.
