Deloitte taps new leader of federal practice

Deloitte has named current principal Dan Helfrich to the role of federal practice leader.

In his new role, Helfrich will oversee the company’s federal practice, which provides consulting, risk advisory and financial advisory services to the government.

The practice is worth $1.3 billion and contains more than 7,300 employees.

Helfrich succeeds Janet Foutty, who has been named chairman and CEO of Deloitte Consulting.

Helfrich was most recently the leader of the company’s federal civilian sector.
