Insitu wins $70.9M delivery order for ScanEagle UAVs

Insitu Inc. has won a $70.9 million delivery order to provide the Navy with eight ScanEagle unmanned aircraft systems.
The small, long-endurance unmanned aircraft systems will be used by the government of Afghanistan under the Foreign Military Sales program, the Defense Department.
The contract includes spares, support equipment, field service support and the establishment of an in-theater ScanEagle training facility and training.
Work will be performed in Bingen, Wash., and Afghanistan, and is expected to be completed in June 2018.
