LGS Innovations has won a $9.5 million contract to supply submarine telecommunication cables to the U.S. Navy’s Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center.

The center delivers specialized engineering and technology solutions that support sustainable facilities and provides logistics and expeditionary systems support for Navy combat force capabilities.

Under the contract, LGS has subcontracted Alcatel-Lucent Submarine Networks to design, manufacture and supply approximately 650 miles of subsea cable.

Work is expected to wrap up in July 2016.
