Protests net new awards for SOCOM's $450M mission support services contract

The U.S. Special Operations Command has given in to a pair of bid protests and added all remaining bidders to a $450 million support services contract originally awarded in August 2015.

The U.S. Special Operations Command has given in and added all remaining bidders to a $450 million support services contract originally awarded in August.

The move follows bid protests filed by two of the losing companies, iTility and Chenega Advanced Solutions and Engineering, and increases the number of primes on the contract from eight to 32.

The original eight winners won spots on the contract on Aug. 24, though the Defense Department did not announce the winners until Sept. 8. The first eight winners were:

  • Arrow Security & Training LLC
  • Consulting Services Group
  • Cyberspace Solutions LLc
  • Lukos – VATC JV LLC
  • METIS Solutions LLC
  • Mid Atlantic Professionals Inc. (doing business as SSI)
  • Venatôre – ITA LLC
  • Vistra-SAG JV

Following the protests by iTility and Chenega, the Special Operations Command pulled back the awards to take a corrective action.

The corrective action added the rest of the 32 bidders to the contract. Those companies are:

  • Chenega Advanced Solutions and Engineering LLC
  • Cybrix Group Inc.
  • Command Post Technologies Inc.
  • Cydecor Inc.
  • The Electronic On-Ramp Inc.

  • Expeditionary Technology Services Inc.
  • Gemini Industries Inc.
  • Intelligence, Communications and Engineering, Inc.
  • Intelligent Decision Systems Inc.
  • Innovative Information Solutions
  • ITility
  • Mission Wide Training
  • People, Technology and Processes
  • SHINE Systems & Technologies
  • Streamline Defense
  • Transformation Advisors Group
  • Totalis Consulting Group, Inc.
  • Threat Tec
  • Universal Strategy Group Inc.
  • Yorktown Systems Group Inc.

The contract provides a full range of knowledge based services, including but not limited to subject matter experts, advisory services, instructors, linguists, intelligence analysts, and business operations support. 

Work will be performed at multiple locations both in the U.S. and overseas, with an estimated completion date of Sep. 2020.
