Progeny Systems scores $44.9M contract to support Navy sonar system

Progeny Systems Corp. has won a $44.9 million contract to provide the Navy with engineering assessments in support of the MK48 multi-band sonar system.

Progeny Systems Corp. has won a $44.9 million contract to provide the Navy with engineering assessments in support of the MK48 multi-band sonar system.

The assessments are to include software, hardware and test equipment development, analysis, integration, and testing, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Manassas, Va., Newport, R.I., Keyport, Wash., and Bangor, Wash., and is expected to be completed by September 2020.
