EMC completes acquisition of Virtustream

EMC has completed its acquisition of Virtustream in a deal that adds managed cloud services to EMC’s data storage capabilities.

EMC will utilize Virtustream’s cloud software and infrastructure-as-a-service portfolio to help its customers move all applications to cloud-based IT environments.

The all-cash transaction is not expected to affect EMC’s financial results in 2015, the company said in a release. Operational details will be announced later this fiscal quarter.
