PAE has named Mitch Lawrence vice president of security and counterintelligence.

In his new role, Lawrence will be responsible for the company’s security infrastructure and will protect business operations and mitigate the risk of loss of intellectual property and government/contract sensitive information, PAE said in a release.

Lawrence comes to PAE from USIS Global Security, which PAE acquired in January 2015 after USIS was involved in much controversy around its methods of performing background investigations.

At USIS, Lawrence served as head of security and business development.
