Exelis wins $8.4M contract to support Eglin AFB

Exelis has won an $8.4 million contract to support the C-6 radar station deployed at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
The station is comprised of an AN/FPS-85 phased array radar as well as computer systems and radar control equipment.
Under the contract, Exelis will provide system sustainment. The company will sustain the infrastructure of the C-6 radar station to include the weapon system management & engineering; field service team; radome maintenance; and requirements definition, analysis, and modeling, the Defense Department said in a release.
Work is expected to wrap up by Dec. 31, 2015.
