Booz, ManTech lead group of DARPA contract winners

Four companies have won $96.9 million contracts with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to support its tactical technology office.

The first year of the contracts is worth $32.3 million and the companies will compete for task orders.

The winners are:

  • Booz Allen Hamilton
  • CENTRA Technology Inc.
  • ManTech SRS Technologies Inc.
  • Schafer Corp.

DARPA’s tactical technology office, known as TTO, develops prototypes of military capabilities that “create an asymmetric technological advantage,” according to its website.

Some of its active programs include robotics, research experiments for the International Space Station, and the Hydra program, which aims to develop a distributed undersea network of unmanned payloads and platforms that complement manned vessels.
