Alion captures $24.9M Air Force research support contract

Alion Science and Technology Corp. has captured a $24.9 million Marine Corps contract with the Advanced Materials, Manufacturing and Testing Information Analysis Center to help with research and development efforts.

The company will provide services such as technical analysis, logistics and sustainment for the center. The center conducts research and development in areas such as non-destructive testing, corrosion, thermal protection, rapid prototyping, integration and testing and real-time system monitoring.

The sole-source contract runs through Dec. 29, 2016.
