KS captures $623M contract to support Iraqi air base

KS International LLC has won a $623.3 million contract with the Air Force to support Balad Air Base, Iraq.

KS International specializes in mission-critical engineering and development services and solutions, and its main customers include the State, Defense and Homeland Security Departments.

Joint Base Balad was one of the largest military bases during the Iraq War. The U.S. Air Force took over control of the base from the U.S. Army in mid-2008. It serves as the central logistical hub for forces in Iraq.

Under the contract, KS International LLC will provide base operating support, base life support and security services.

Work will be performed at Balad Air Base, Iraq, and is expected to be completed by January 2017.
