Five win $43M Navy modeling, simulation contract

Five companies have won a share of a $43 million Navy contract for modeling and simulation work supporting the assessment division of the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations.

Winning contracts are Delta Resources Inc., Group W Inc., Metron Scientific Solutions Inc., Serco Inc. and Systems Planning and Analysis Inc.

The companies will compete for task orders for work such as systems engineering, model development and research, model modification and improvements and model testing, transition and demonstration.

The Navy is interested in areas such as warfighting, manpower, and fleet readiness. The contract runs through Nov. 30, 2016, and the majority of the work will be in Washington, D.C.

The five companies were the only bidders on the contract.
