Northrop wins $19.3M contract for mission planning on combat ships

Northrop Grumman Corp. has won a $19.3 million contract modification to provide engineering and production planning services for littoral combat ships.
Under the contract, the company will provide these engineering and production planning services for mission packages that will deploy from and integrate with the littoral combat ship, the Defense Department said in a release.
Work will take place in Bethpage, N.Y., Oxnard, Calif., Washington D.C., Panama City, Fla., Dahlgren, Va., San Diego, Calif., Hollywood, Md., Andover, Mass., and Middletown R.I., and is expected to be completed by June 2014.
Funding in the amount of $5.9 million is obligated at the time of the award, and will not expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
