There are two sides to the big data coin

Big data is a two-sided coin. According to TimesRecordNews, while big data has its useful applications, like how it contributed to catching the Boston Marathon bombers, it significantly impacts privacy, since internet and mobile users generate so much of data daily.

From watching YouTube to writing text messages, from social networking to even the very clicks you make on the internet, you are generating large amounts of data. Of course, it is such data that could help determine new traffic pattern trends, or help physicians individualize breast cancer treatment, TimesRecordNews reported.
