Big storage in a little body

Advanced Industrial Computer, a designer and
manufacturer of rackmount server and data storage
enclosures, introduced a new portable storage
solution for post-production, video/graphic
editing, mission-critical content development and
management applications.

The MiniBOD XJ-SA01-08-A1 is lightweight and
has a small footprint. The portable hardware
allows users to save and access files to eight

The storage device allows high input/output
operations per second storage reads and writes at
as high as 2.4G bandwidth, and it supports as
much as 1.2T of storage. The MiniBOD offers plug
and access, and it can connect to host servers of
the same Redundant Array of Independent Disks
configuration through the SFF8088 connector.

Clean servers are happy servers

Air filtration was added to GizMac Accessories'
smaller capacities of XRackPro server racks.
GizMac's 4U and 6U models of XRackPro2
server racks now feature an air filtration system in
addition to reduced noise. Filtration supplies
cleaner air to the server rack enclosure and the
computer and other equipment inside.

The controlled airflow of the XRackPro2 server
rack aids cooling, cuts noise and enables an air
filtering system to function.

Air filters used in the XRackPro2 computer
racks are custom made and particularly suited for
this application.

The pleated design of the filter provides greater
surface area for trapping more particles while allowing
superior air circulation. The filters are reinforced
with a metal grid to prevent collapse because of
the high airflow created by cooling fans.
