SYS Technologies picks up three defense jobs

SYS Technologies won three task orders from DOD that involve ongoing support for key network operations.

SYS Technologies won three new task orders from the Defense Department that involve ongoing support for key network operations. The three task orders total $2.5 million, the company said.

Under one task order, SYS of San Diego will continue furnishing the Global Broadcast Joint Program Office with a mobile training team that has been involved in Global Broadcast Service training for more than three years in support of its fielding schedule.

The Global Broadcast Service draws on commercial direct broadcast satellite technology to provide high-capacity broadcast transmission for mission essential information consisting of audio, video, data, imagery and other types of information products.

Under the other two task orders, SYS will provide new and follow-on work to support Space and Naval Warfare initiatives related to FORCEnet.

The company will assist with research, test and evaluation methodologies used in the design and development of FORCEnet technologies and systems. SYS also will provide information assurance services, including system security and system engineering support for network and other information systems.

FORCEnet is a transformational initiative designed to integrate and improve existing networks, sensors, commands, platforms, operations and weapons across the entire Navy.
