ITS to help with defense science programs

ITS Corp. will deliver administrative and analytical support to the Office of Naval Research under a Defense Department initiative to reduce redundancy and enhance the synergy among its many science and technology programs.

Under the contract, ITS of Oxnard, Calif., will assist the Office of Naval Research to respond better to its warfighting and acquisition customers. The multiple-award contract may be worth as much as $3 million over five years.

Established in 1991, ONR's Reliance approach provides a framework for members of the DOD Science and Technology community to work together to enhance the department's technology program and to strengthen cooperation among the services and agencies.

The Army, Navy and Air Force research programs, as well as various Defense agencies, including the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, currently participate in the Reliance process.

ITS offers IT and engineering services to the military, intelligence and homeland security communities as well as civilian agencies.
