Cubic Corp. will construct mobile combat training centers for the Romanian and Slovakian armed forces through two U.S. Army contracts valued at $13.6 million.
Under the contracts, Cubic Defense Applications will supply combat training center instrumentation capable of simulating tactical engagements to the two countries. The Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation awarded the two deals.
The mobile combat training centers allow commanders and trainers to track all weapons engagements, communications, and movements of soldiers and weapons systems in force-to-force exercises.
The company's instrumentation can monitor and assist participants in live training and also can be linked to virtual and constructive training environments.
Cubic of San Diego ranks No. 70
on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100
list of the largest government IT contractors.
