AT&T gets Army professional services work

AT&T Government Solutions Inc. won a five-year, $64.1 million contract to furnish professional services to the Army Materiel Command's Enterprise Integration Directorate.

Under the contract, AT&T of Vienna, Va., will develop and field two new, related projects, funds control and exchange pricing, designed to improve the Army's finance processes.

The company also will supply business process re-engineering, software systems development, information security and consulting services related to logistics transformation and Army modernization.

The directorate contract supports overseas operations in Germany, Kuwait, Hawaii and South Korea. It also runs the Single Stock Fund, a software and hardware system developed by AT&T Government Solutions for the Army to manage its inventories and related financial accounting processes.

The Single Stock Fund provides near real-time information on more than $10 billion in annual Army inventories to supply and resources managers nationwide.

AT&T Government Solutions offers telecommunications services to the federal government. Its parent company, AT&T Inc. of San Antonio ranks No. 31 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
