SYS Technologies wins Navy system analysis work

SYS Technologies Inc. won a five-year, $11 million task order to deliver systems engineering support to the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare System Command.

As prime contractor on the work, SYS Technologies' defense solutions group will furnish architecture reviews and assessments, analyze requirements and provide system- and capability-based assessment support.

The assessments will evaluate the Navy's warfighting capabilities and vulnerabilities. They also will develop analyses to give the Navy an impartial assessment to ensure it follows its mission as defined by the country's National Military Strategy.

SYS Technologies' team includes American Systems Corp., Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., G2 Software Services, L-3 Communications Corp., Lockheed Martin Corp., Northrop Grumman Corp., Ocean Systems Engineering Corp., Science Applications International Corp., Systems Technology Forum Ltd. and X-Feds Inc.

The award is a follow-on to a previous research and development task order work SYS Technologies performed in fiscal 2005 for Forcenet and Space and Electronic Warfare advanced modeling, simulation and analysis. Forcenet is the Navy's operational framework for integrating its soldiers, sensors, weapons, networks, command and control and platforms into a unified network.

SYS Technologies of San Diego offers IT connectivity technologies for the public and private sectors. The company has about 400 employees and had annual revenue of $55.9 million for fiscal 2006.
