Multimax takes on Navy tech refresh

Multimax Inc. won a one-year $11.9 million contract to provide professional services and equipment for a technology refresh of the Navy's overseas enterprise network.

Multimax Inc. won a one-year $11.9 million contract to provide professional services and equipment for a technology refresh of the Navy's overseas enterprise network.

The company will engineer, install and test the network refresh devices at 14 locations in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. It also will develop logistics and spare parts plans for the network devices and offer initial training and materials.

The Overseas Navy Enterprise Network, called One-Net, is the Navy's counterpart to the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet.

Based in Herndon, Va., Multimax is a privately owned company that offers IT and communications services and solutions to the Defense Department, federal civilian agencies and state and local governments. Some of its other clients are the Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Federal Aviation Administration and the Homeland Security, State and Veterans Affairs departments.
