DRC tasked with Army acquisition systems support

Dynamics Research Corp. won an $8 million task order to deliver technical support services to assist Army acquisition efforts.

Under the task order, DRC of Andover, Mass., will furnish functional and technical support services for the Army Business Center for Acquisition Systems Team located at the Army's Software Engineering Center, Fort Lee, Va. The work includes engineering, analytical and project management services.

The task order was awarded under the Air Force's Design and Engineering Support Program contract. The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracting program supports several Defense Department and Army acquisition systems and initiatives.

DRC has supported programs at the Army's Software Engineering Center for the past nine years.

The company, which has about 1,800 workers and had annual revenue of $300.4 million in fiscal 2005, ranks No. 60 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
