Maximus draws pair of Wisconsin welfare-to-work deals

Maximus Inc. will continue delivering workforce development services in Wisconsin under two contract renewals worth $25 million over four years.

Under one contract, the Reston, Va., company will continue to supply job development and placement services as part of a program known as Wisconsin Works.

Under the other contract, Maximus will furnish case management services to the W-2 program in the southwest and northwest regions of Milwaukee County.

The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development awarded the contracts to Maximus.

In addition to its Wisconsin obligations, Maximus also operates welfare-to-work and workforce services projects in the California counties of Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego and in Arizona. The company also has similar projects in Australia and Israel.

Maximus has about 5,100 employees and had annual sales of $647.5 million in fiscal 2005, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
