SI lands Air Force Space Command support work

SI International Inc. will deliver a wide array of program support services to the Air Force Space Command under a two and one-half year contract worth about $14 million.

SI International Inc. will deliver a wide array of program support services to the Air Force Space Command under a two and one-half year contract worth about $14 million.

Under the contract, the Reston, Va., company will provide life-cycle planning, management, engineering and technical assistance to the Headquarters North American Aerospace Defense Command and the Air Force Space Command.

The support will assist these entities in fielding next-generation command and control capabilities involving space, air missile, and command and control elements.

The company will perform the work at AFSPC headquarters at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., and at the company's facilities at Colorado Springs, Colo.

SI International has about 4,300 employees and had annual sales of $397.9 million in fiscal 2005. The company ranks No. 40 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
