ITS buys tech management and consulting firm

Technology company ITS Corp. acquired The Leads Corp., an Arlington, Va., company that specializes in acquisition management and consulting, technology management and enterprise modernization services for the federal government. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Leads employs about 90 people and expects 2005 revenue of $15 million. The acquisition strengthens ITS' systems acquisition and technology management services and creates core capabilities in enterprise modernization, said Thomas Sundling, ITS president and chief executive officer, in a written statement.

The purchase also adds the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Treasury Department to ITS' client roster, and strengthens its presence in the Defense and Homeland Security departments and the intelligence community, he said.

Joseph Tagliareni, Leads' president and CEO, will continue to lead the company as senior vice president of ITS' Leads business unit.

ITS of Oxnard, Calif., is a privately owned company that offers IT services and engineering solutions for federal government clients.
