L-3 snares NSA technical assistance deal

L-3 Communications Inc. has expanded its work with the U.S. intelligence community through a new contract award to provide technical assistance to the National Security Agency.

The three-month contract has four options years and is estimated to be worth as much as $22 million if all options are exercised.

L-3 Titan Group's Intelligence Solutions division will offer process engineering and technical support to NSA in several essential areas, such as requirements analysis, scheduling and subject matter expertise.

The work will help ensure that mission capability requirements are developed and validated for the Joint Office of the Secretary of Defense and intelligence community programs.

L-3 Communications of New York has 44,200 employees and annual sales of $6.9 billion. The company ranks No. 15 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
