Two companies to share Army information management deal

Nortel PEC Solutions Inc. and Serco Inc. won a one-year, $5.2 million contract from the Army to provide services for the Information Management Support Center.

Nortel PEC Solutions Inc. and Serco Inc. won a one-year, $5.2 million contract from the Army to provide services for the Information Management Support Center, the companies have announced.

Under the task order, Nortel PEC Solutions of Fairfax, Va., in collaboration with Serco Inc. of Vienna, Va., will provide business applications development, management services and independent verification and validation testing services for the center. The task order was issued under a contract with Nortel PEC Solution's subsidiary AC Technologies Inc. of Fairfax, Va.

Nortel PEC Solutions will build, modify and support a variety of small, medium and large applications to manage agency requirements. The company also will provide Web and database application hosting services.

The Information Management Support Center ensures the timely delivery of information, mission-critical support and IT services to the secretary of the Army, the chief of staff and more than 80 supporting agencies. It also serves as a link to the Defense Department, and provides support services for more than 10,000 civilian, military and contractor personnel.

Nortel PEC Solutions engineers, deploys and manages mission-critical solutions for homeland security, criminal justice, intelligence and defense and civilian agencies within federal, state and local government.

Serco of Vienna, Va. offers IT services, systems engineering, strategic consulting and human resource-focused business process management services. Its parent company is Serco Group plc of Hampshire, United Kingdom.
