PwC gets A-123 contract from Agriculture

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP has been awarded a blanket purchase agreement from the Agriculture Department to assist the agency with implementation of internal controls reporting.

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP has been awarded a blanket purchase agreement valued at up to $10 million from the Agriculture Department to assist the agency with implementation of internal controls reporting required by the Office of Management and Budget, the company has announced.

Under the terms of the multiyear agreement, PwC's federal unit will support Agriculture's compliance with OMB Circular A-123, Appendix A, which defines revised requirements for internal controls over financial reporting, the company said today. The department may also use the contract vehicle to support financial management and business operations.

Circular A-123 aims to provide federal managers with a process for assessing the effectiveness of an agency's internal control over financial reporting.
