SI International Inc. won a five-year, $20 million task order to provide technical support to the Air Force Space Command's military satellite communications branch, the company said today.
Under the task order, for one year with four one-year options, SI International will offer IT systems engineering and integration, systems analyses, system and specialty engineering and various architectures for the military satellite communications system.
SI International also will work closely on this project with the Air Force's Space and Missile Center and the Electronic Systems Center. The company will use object-oriented modeling to determine the future global-networked communications system. These modeling techniques will ensure that the new systems will be interoperable and agile.
Based in Reston, Va., SI International offers IT and network solutions primarily for the federal government. The company employs more than 3,800 people and had 2004 revenue of $262.3 million. It is No. 49
on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100
list of federal prime contractors.
