DRC lands Coast Guard task management deal

Dynamics Research Corp. won a five-year contract from the Coast Guard to develop a Universal Task List and a Mission Essential Task List Process.

Dynamics Research Corp. won a five-year contract worth more than $3 million from the Coast Guard to develop a Universal Task List and a Mission Essential Task List Process, the company announced this week.

Under the contract, DRC of Andover, Mass., will perform project management, focused research and mission analysis with technical and documentation support to the Coast Guard, an agency within the Department of Homeland Security.

The Universal Task List will provide a common language for communication and coordination, allowing the Coast Guard to better manage workflow, productivity and risk management, said company officials.

DRC will also develop Mission Essential Task Lists for various Coast Guard commands. The company has performed similar task list management work for the Navy Warfare Development Command.

DRC, which has more than 1,960 employees and annual sales of $275.7 million, ranks No. 69 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
