Ciber closes Knowledge Systems acquisition

Ciber Inc. has completed its acquisition of Knowledge Systems Private Ltd., the company announced this week.

Ciber of Denver paid about $2.5 million cash for all of the outstanding shares of the Bangalore, India-based company. The agreement also calls for an earn-out provision of $600,000 that can be achieved over two years.

The acquisition will further enhance Ciber's ability to deliver service around the globe and meet the demands of its growing offshore work, said Mac Slingerlend, Ciber's president and chief executive officer.

Knowledge Systems is a professional services firm specializing in custom application development.

Ciber, a provider of systems integration and consulting services for the commercial and government sectors, has about 8,000 employees and annual sales of $975 million. The company ranks No. 94 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
