L-3 Communications Inc.'s Link Simulation and Training division won two delivery orders to perform upgrades to the Air Force's B-2A Spirit Aircrew Training System and Maintenance Training System, said officials from the company in New York.

The contract is worth about $19 million, officials said.

The B-2A and Maintenance Training System are both located at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.

"These upgrades will enable B-2A aircrew training devices to simulate the exchange of real-time information concerning threats, friendly aircraft, targets and overall air and ground order of battle, in addition to providing critical maintenance training of the Link 16 systems," said.

Link Simulation and Training is a systems integration organization. Link's services include conducting front end analysis, program design, simulator design and production and field support.
