Analex closes buy of ComGlobal Systems
Analex Corp. completed its acquisition of ComGlobal Systems Inc. in a $47 million cash deal that adds software engineering and IT services capabilities to the Alexandria, Va., company.
Analex, a professional services company, and ComGlobal of San Diego primarily serve the federal government.
ComGlobal specializes in command, control, communications, computers and intelligence programs for the military. Its largest customer is the Navy's Tomahawk Cruise Missile Program.
GD acquires Maya Viz Ltd
General Dynamics Corp. acquired Maya Viz Ltd., a developer of enhanced visualization and collaboration technologies that support real-time decision making. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Pittsburgh-based Maya has several military applications, including the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Command Post of the Future program, which supports joint-service military decision making, mission planning and rehearsals, and command and control.
The company will become part of the General Dynamics C4 Systems business unit, based in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Lockheed ties up Sytex deal
Lockheed Martin Corp. finished its acquisition of IT services provider Sytex Group Inc. of Doylestown, Pa., for $440 million in cash.
The sale doesn't include the smallest unit of Sytex, MacAulay Brown Inc. The companies agreed to leave the unit out of the transaction because of possible conflicts between work that MacAulay Brown and Lockheed Martin perform. The previous owners of Sytex will keep MacAulay.
Sytex of Doylestown, Pa., had about $425 million in 2004 revenue, nearly 50 percent above its 2003 results, according to Lockheed Martin.
