RGS lands Navy technical support work

RGS Associates will provide the Navy with IT and change management services for the Chief of Naval Operations Staff in a deal worth as much as $26 million.

RGS Associates Inc. has won a contract from the Navy to provide IT and change management services for the Chief of Naval Operations Staff, the company announced this week. The five-year contract is worth more than $26 million if all options are exercised.

Under the contract, RGS, of Arlington, Va., will provide process analysis, migration planning, portfolio management, knowledge and records management and strategic planning services.

The purpose of the contract is to help the agency leverage IT in the transformation of the department.

RGS will assist the Navy in applying the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet infrastructure to reduce legacy applications, develop and deploy enterprise business solutions, and improve corporate business processes across the Chief of Naval Operations Staff.

RGS' team includes Virtual Workgroup Technologies Inc. of Ashburn, Va.; CACI International Inc., also based in Arlington, and Competitive Innovations LLC in Culpeper, Va.
