Army gets interim undersecretary

President Bush last month designated Raymond DuBois, former deputy Defense undersecretary for installations and environment, as acting undersecretary of the Army.

DuBois, who left his Pentagon post in the fall, also previously was director of administration and management. In that job, he was the principal staff assistant to Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on all personnel, real estate and organizational planning issues in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

In November, Philip Grone took over as deputy Defense undersecretary for installations and environment.

DuBois received his bachelor's degree from Princeton University.
