Project: Statewide Fingerprint Imaging System

Summary: The purpose of the statewide fingerprint imaging system is to prevent and detect duplicate aid in the temporary financial assistance and food stamp programs using applicants' fingerprints. The system should deter people from attempting to open more than one public assistance case in California. It will use Windows workstations installed at county social services department locations, central site Unix servers, an Informix database management system and proprietary automatic fingerprint identification system hardware and software technology. 



Houston Airport System

Project: Explosive Detection System for Inline Baggage System

Summary: The Houston Airport System may issue a requirement for the planning and design of an explosive detection system inline baggage system for the remaining terminals at the Hobby Airport. The total budget for the construction of terminals and systems is $9.2 million.





Maryland Insurance Administration

Project: Initial Producer Licensing System

Summary: The Maryland Licensing Administration wants a system that will evaluate and approve new applications, print new licenses for producers and other insurance professionals, update external databases that require producer information, and print all license renewals. About 1,300 new licenses and 4,000 renewals are applied for each month. The new application must be fully compatible with the existing online application.





North Carolina Division of Purchase and Contract

Summary: The North Carolina Division of Purchase and Contract, on behalf of the Teachers' and State Employees' Comprehensive Major Medical Plan, has a requirement for state health plan claims processing. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina administers the state health plan as claims processing contractor. The current claims processing contract began July 1, 1997, and is for eight years with two one-year extensions.

University of Minnesota
