CSC, Symantec offer managed security services

Computer Sciences Corp. and Symantec have entered into an alliance to offer managed security services worldwide, officials from both companies said.

Under the agreement, Symantec?headquartered in Cupertino, Calif.?will provide elements of its security monitoring services, including intrusion detection, security device management, data analysis and correlation, to enhance CSC's security solutions offering. CSC is headquartered in El Segundo, Calif.

Combined capabilities include security architecture and planning, vulnerability assessments, security device monitoring and management, intrusion detection and prevention systems, incident response and forensics, officials said.
