Megadata Corp. won a contract to supply a suite of collaborative decision-making software to Washington Dulles International Airport. The airport, airlines and the Federal Aviation Administration will use the Passur software, the company said.
Through an arrangement with Dulles, both the airport authority and all carriers will gain access to the suite of Passur "Web dashboard" information, communication and collaboration software, officials from Greenwich, Conn., company said. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Passur OPSnet is a Web tool that creates instant communication and information sharing. It was deployed at Dulles this winter as a tool for managing departure allocations during de-icing operations.
OPSnet will unite Dulles airport operations, the carriers and FAA onto a single communications and information-sharing platform for the first time, company officials said.
Passur Portal is a solution for the aviation industry to access information for tasks such as gate and connections management, airfield optimization and landing fee management.
Passur inSight is a Web-based flight following program that combines national en-route flight tracking, terminal-area tracking from the Passur network of radar systems, along with a graphics engine for real motion tracking and aircraft movement.
