CSC executive named president of IT information sharing center

Guy Copeland has been named president of the Information Technology Information Sharing and Analysis Center (IT-ISAC), officials at Computer Sciences Corp. announced.

Copeland is vice president of El Segundo, Calif.-based CSC's Information Infrastructure Advisory Programs.

The IT-ISAC is a coalition of IT companies that provides members with real-time and historical information about urgent alerts, security news, vulnerabilities, viruses and other threats.

It provides a forum for information sharing, joint analysis and incident response coordination with other sector ISACs and the federal government to protect critical infrastructure.

Copeland succeeds Phillip Lacombe of General Dynamics. His term runs through February 2006.
